Hello friends at Centricity Music. I put up this private page just for you! I hope you love my songs. I have also included a small bio.
ATLANTA, GA – Singer-songwriter Matthew Hawk is working on a seven song praise and worship E.P. titled, Magnificent, and a CCM album (Love One Another) simultaneously. The first four songs from Magnificent are included here for your private enjoyment. (SIGN ME to your label, PLEASE!)
Passionate. Hungry for Jesus. Intimately seeking his presence with a guitar and pen in my hands. Deeply desiring connection. Worship Evangelism. It's a word that's been spoken over me time and time again over the years by prophetic people--It reflects what my heart wants to do--what it feels called to do. There's nothing I enjoy more than drawing people into the presence of God, but it's more than just leading worship on Sunday mornings. It's a deep desire to write songs for his glory--songs that speak and touch and heal. Songs that draw people to the father. Songs that are alive and full of his presence and purpose. Songs that meet people in their brokenness and journeys with them to Jesus. Like Moses heading into the wilderness, after leading worship at numerous events and churches over a decade ago, my life changed and I served the last decade in the film industry as an actor, musician, singer-songwriter, double, and stand-in, working on films such as Pitch Perfect 3 playing guitar for the Bellas, or playing guitar in the Vampire Diaries or on ABC's Baker and the Beauty, or doubling for Finnick in the Hunger Games Trilogy and Four in the Divergent Series. Oh, and I even flew the Gemini 8 as a double for the film, First Man. But then something happened. My life fell apart and I found myself longing to be back in the arms of my father. My son was born with a critical heart condition and survived three open heart surgeries. My wife almost died giving birth. I left the film industry to take care of them. I drew close to God in that brokenness. I started writing worship songs again. Doors opened for me to start leading worship again. I began to connect to my calling and my purpose all over again--this time fueled with the grace, humility and experience I needed for such a ministry, as the Holy Spirit catapulted me back into music ministry and the recording studio. 2022 was a year of new beginnings. My song, Running on Empty, debuted #5 on the top Christian charts for PlayMPE. I was nominated for three Native American Music Awards. My music video, Coming Home, won an award at the Emerald Coast Film Festival. I'm praying for 2023 to be a Jesus-centered, music-filled year with many musical ministry opportunities, and I would love to team up with Centricity records to make it happen! Please call me! Ps. I've been offered a distribution deal through The Orchard/Sony, but I'm giving you first dibs. I would love to work with you. |
